Swaddling is shown to reduce stress in not only humans, but animals, too. The Comfort Zone Calming Vest for Dogs mimics the act of swaddling by providing constant, gentle pressure to calm your dog. A soft layer of fabric makes the vest comfortable and breathable, and it’s adjustable, too.

Find The Right Fit
For the vest to make your dog feel as safe and secure as possible, it’s important to pick the correct size for a snug fit for him or her. Watch this short video below for more information on choosing the correct size, or check out our size guide.
It’s best to get your dog accustomed to wearing the vest before having to use it during a stressful situation such as thunderstorms or fireworks. The Comfort Zone Calming Vest is designed to be very easy to put on and take off. You simply place your dog’s front paws into the openings and tighten the wing until the vest fits snug across your dog’s body. To familiarize your dog with the vest, we recommend the following steps:
Let your dog see and smell the vest so that he/she can become familiar with it. Offer your dog a treat so that they feel more comfortable and begin to create a positive association with the vest.
Follow the Simple 3-Step Application instructions for proper fitting. Let your dog wear the vest for about 5-10 minutes initially so that he/she can become familiar with it.
During the initial use of the vest, we recommend removing it every 1-2 hours to ensure your dog is comfortable and that there are no signs of irritation. Although irritation is uncommon, all dogs are different and can react differently to fabrics and fits just as humans do.
When putting the vest onto your dog, ensure that no section of the hook fastener (the side of the fastener that feels rough to the touch) is exposed or against your dogs’ fur.
